Still radiating from the vibes of our 3 Year Anniversary Festival and the start of our Winter City Hearts Tour, it’s our pleasure to announce the dates of our Desert Hearts Spring Festival 2016!
Spring has always been a symbol of growth and rebirth in the world. As our movement of love begins to take strides across the globe, we’ve witnessed the prosperity of new Desert Hearts communities fostering love and positive intentions. Our ultimate goal is to create communities world-wide that give artists and patrons a platform to express themselves and be the best people they can be. Our festivals are the light which guide this movement of love and our community is a role model for what can happen when people put their differences aside and come together in the name of love.
For our Desert Hearts Spring Festival 2016, our intention is more clear than ever: Love. The world needs more love and that’s why Desert Hearts is here. Let’s shout from the mountain tops and practice what we preach. It’s time to make a difference in the world and it starts in the hearts and minds of our family.

~ ♥ Admission ♥ ~
Gates open for General Admission, Friday at 10am. Thursday early arrival passes allow admission Thursday at Noon. Music starts at 4pm on Friday and bumps nonstop until Monday at 4pm. Tickets include entrance, camping, and access to all open kitchens, theme camps, & art installations.
For fastest entry, please print and bring your ticket that will be emailed to you upon purchase. If you can’t find the email please check your spam or promotions folder.
* In order to encourage carpooling, an Environmental Impact Fee of $20 will be charged per vehicle. This is intended to greatly help us reduce the amount of traffic entering and exiting the festival grounds. *

We are expecting a much larger response for our Spring Festival 2016 than ever before, but we have decided to limit our capacity to maintain our intimate One Stage, One Vibe philosophy of Desert Hearts. We highly encourage you to sign up for our family mailing list because everyone on our mailing list will have first priority to buy the cheapest tickets possible hours before tickets go on sale to the public. Our goal is to reward our most loyal Desert Hearts Family who have been so incredibly good to us as we’ve grown over the years.
♥ Ticket Tiers ♥
For each tier we have a limited number of tickets for sale. After the tickets sell out at each tier, the price will increase to the next tier. Our last three festivals sold out relatively quick so act fast to ensure your spot is safe in the dust.
Early Bird – $120
Tier 1 – $140
Tier 2 – $160
Tier 3 – $180
Tier 4 – $200
♥ Car Camping, RV Passes, & Early Entry Passes ♥
If you are planning to camp in the campgrounds with your vehicle, you will need a Car Camping Pass. If you are arriving in a RV or bus, you will need a RV pass or else you will not be allowed entry. If you don’t need to camp directly next to your car, there is a huge parking lot about a 2-5 minute walk to the campgrounds where you’ll be able to park and leave your car. It is literally the shortest festival walk you’ll ever do so don’t even trip when Car Camping Passes sell out.
Early Entry Passes allow entrance to the festival grounds on Thursday before music starts on Friday. If you would like to enter on Thursday you will still need a regular general admission pass as well.
*Note: All cars & RVs will have to pay the standard $20 Environmental Impact Fee upon arrival, even if you bought a Car or RV Camping Pass.

Desert Hearts is a bi-annual music and arts festival. We are a community, a movement of love celebrating life with beats. A place where acceptance, creativity and passions flourish. We are an intimate gathering of open-minded and like-minded individuals where friendships blossom and smiles surround you. A place to learn, grow, inspire and release. A safe haven away from Babylon where everyone can connect with nature, be themselves and do what makes then happy. One stage, one vibe, and one beautiful growing family.
House, Techno and Love was the foundation for our first small renegade in the Mojave and has continued to be the basis for our gatherings. We have come a long way since the birth of Desert Hearts and although our family has grown, our vibe and high standard of music has stayed true to our values.
This past year was especially groundbreaking for us. We established our record label and have had chart topping success with our first Desert Hearts Records releases. We brought our festival vibe to many cities through our City Hearts parties in San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles. We established our community Desert ARTS program as a commitment to showcasing community artists. And we have built our playa presence with a very successful second year of our Burning Man camp the Pile Palace.
Desert Hearts was founded by San Diego based friends and DJs, Christopher Kristoff, Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop, & Deep Jesus. Together we work endless hours, putting our heart and soul into creating a beautiful environment for community to gather. We welcome you to come join the magic we all create as we come together as one. We Are All Desert Hearts.
~ ♥ Location & Weather ♥ ~
The Los Coyotes Indian Reservation is truly a gem to behold. Tucked in to the mountains surrounding Warner Springs (San Diego County), it brings the best of the high desert and forest together all in one. Trust us when we say we don’t know of a more beautiful place in Southern California to host our festival.
Temperatures can range from the 70s in the day to the 30s at night. Be prepared for extreme heat and cold. There are plenty of open spaces as well as ample areas shaded by trees.
There will be plenty of parking that is reasonably close to all camping areas. If you wish to bring an RV, you must purchase a pass in advance. If you would like to camp with your car, you must purchase a pass in advance.
The campground is rustic so there are no showers or functional bathrooms. We will be providing ample portapotties that will be spread throughout the venue.

DH Arts Program aka DesertARTS was founded to provide a structured management platform for the involvement of community based artists and performers to create a truly unique atmosphere embedded with artistic participation and imagination.
Art and dance are the ultimate form of self expression and it is through these platforms that we celebrate all that make us human. With the growth of Desert Hearts we have continued to focus on the expansion of our arts and outreach for community participation. We have fully committed to hosting a wide variety of artists, which include but not limited to, live painting, face/body painting, displayed art, interactive art, art installations and performance art.
~ ♥ Yoga and Healing Sanctuary ♥ ~
Being a boutique festival that’s focused so heavily on the music and vibe, we at Desert Hearts are now more than ever committed to creating space for community healers to gather and share their knowledge. Our village this year will feature healing domes from Sacred Spaces, Wet Dreams, Earthing Tea and more. Shane Chunephisal (firstname.lastname@example.org) has taken lead of organizing and managing our yoga and healing coordination. We will be hosting various forms of healing included but not limited to Yoga, Workshops, Sound Healing, Crystal Healing, Reiki, Energy Work, Spoken Word and Relax/Recharge Zones.

Like to dance like never seen before? Well this is the place to do it! Let you’re creative genius flourish because that is what makes us so beautiful and unique.
~ ♥ Rules and Regulations ♥ ~
We are an open community where you can experience freedom in many ways however we have a few rules you must follow when attending Desert Hearts:
~ ABSOLUTELY NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES OR ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR OF ANY KIND. Including NOS tanks, balloons or any kind of drug use. Desert Hearts has a strict Zero Tolerance policy. You will be asked to leave if you violate this.
~ 21 & Up Event; ID’s will be checked at the gate.
~ No re-entry if you leave the festival. Bring enough water and ice to last you throughout the weekend–they will not be sold or provided on grounds.
~ No dogs (service dogs excluded, but must be identified and leashed).
~ No renegade sound systems–basically anything larger than a small speaker. One stage, one vibe has always been our policy.
~ No littering, especially be mindful of bottles and cigarette butts. Do your part to help clean up trash when you see it.
~ Pack it in and pack it out please!!! When you leave trash at the campgrounds it puts a lot of strain on our volunteer team.
~ ♥ Leave No Trace ♥ ~
This is a leave no trace event. Pack it in, pack it out. Please do not leave your trash bags with us.
PLEASE do not leave any bottles or trash by the dance floor/speakers. If you see trash or bottles out on the ground or left out, please help clean it up and keep our land beautiful. There will be recycling containers by the stage.
It’s a good idea to bring two trash bags, one for trash and one for recycling. Please pocket your cigarette butts and pick up any butts if you see them on the ground. No glow sticks or glow sand please! Also, please no feather boas or anything that will create MOOP.
~ ♥ Safety and Security ♥ ~
Desert Hearts will be staffed with a fully licensed and insured security team at all times. This does not mean you should leave your car unlocked or personal belongings out in the open. Desert Hearts is not responsible for anything that is lost or stolen.
At all our outdoor gatherings there will be a trained medical staff on standby during the entire duration of the event. If you have any medical needs please find the medic tent and they will be more than happy to service you. Please be cautious of any known allergies, illnesses, or infections you may have. Also, be cautious of your surroundings, some of our locations are known to have such things as poison oak.

Q: Are tickets returnable or transferable?
A: Tickets are non-refundable, which is clearly stated in the disclaimer provided on our ticketing site. However, we do offer the ability to transfer your ticket to someone else. All you’ll have to do is print the original ticket email and give it to the person. PLEASE ONLY BUY TICKETS FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND TRUST! DESERT HEARTS CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SCAMMED OR COUNTERFEIT TICKETS!
Q: Can we bring dogs with us camping?
A: Please leave your pooch at home unless a registered service dog, then must be leashed and identifiable.
Q: Can I spin fire at the event?
A: The fire risk at our current venue is high. As that is the case, there will be no unauthorized fire spinning. If we have fire spinning they will be pre approved licensed and insured performers only.
Q: Why are ticket prices so expensive? Where does the money go?
A: Ticket prices directly reflect the magnitude of each festival. For festivals with multiple international headliners, art installations, interactive art, live art performers, camping, theme camps, etc. the ticket prices tend to be more expensive. For smaller events that only involve local talent, or are not 3 day camp outs, the tickets are much cheaper. All revenue is used to pay our musicians, artists, and vendors fairly. Any left over revenue is used to grow our community and festivals.
